Unusual Volume
Unusual Volume catches the minute a stock wakes up: whenever a single minute trades a big slice of what the stock normally trades in a whole day, it lands on this list.
Reading a row
- Ratio — that minute’s volume against the stock’s average daily volume. 2× means two normal days of trading in one minute.
- Cluster — how many hits the same stock had in the last 15 minutes. One minute can be noise; a run of hits is the real signal.
- Chg — the stock’s move on the day at that minute.
Tuning it
Raise Min ratio to see only the biggest bursts, cap the market size to focus on small stocks, or pick a session. The page checks for new hits every few seconds from 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Good to know
Volume shows up before the explanation does. When a stock appears here, check its news and filings — and remember a burst can be selling as easily as buying.
