Unusual volume — with the “why”

The heart of the page. It lists the stocks trading far more shares than normal for them right now, biggest movers first — including the fallers. Each row carries a short headline written by our AI analyst: it digests the news, filings, and context and tells you the likely reason for the move in one sentence, even when the company published no news at all. The ✦ AI read badge marks these.

• Relative volume (×) — how many times its normal trading volume a stock is doing. “12×” means twelve times busier than usual — someone cares, suddenly.
• Session — the list only shows the session we’re in right now (pre-market, regular, after-hours). On weekends it simply says the market is closed rather than showing stale names.
